Bahrain’s Ithmaar Bank Appoints Mohamed Ahmed Bucheerei as Head of Strategy, Transformation and Business Development

Ithmaar Bank, a Bahrain-based Islamic retail financial institution, has appointed Mohamed Ahmed Bucheerei as its new Head of Strategy, Transformation and Business Development. He will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Maysan Almaskati.

Bucheerei’s appointment comes at a crucial time as Ithmaar Bank continues to execute its comprehensive restructuring and transformation programme. The initiative aims to reinforce the bank’s business model, optimise capital efficiency, and support a clearly defined long-term strategic roadmap.

Prior to his latest appointment, he served as Head of Asset Management.

In his new role, Bucheerei will lead strategic planning, transformation programmes, corporate development and business growth efforts. He will also oversee the bank’s digitisation agenda, ensuring technology-driven innovation continues to advance operational excellence and customer experience.
