Faridabad Police has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to examine the activities of Al Falah University after several doctors associated with the institution were arrested in connection with a car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort. The SIT comprises two assistant commissioners of police, an inspector, and two sub-inspectors, and is tasked with preparing a detailed report on the university and related developments.
According to officials, Faridabad Commissioner of Police Satender Kumar Gupta has directed the SIT to investigate how the university allegedly became linked to extremist activities. The team has been asked to collect information on the suspected funding network behind the alleged terror module and track the origin of the explosives involved. Investigators are also preparing reports on the possible involvement of residents from nearby villages.
Police sources said the SIT was formed after Director General of Police O.P. Singh visited the university on Tuesday and instructed the administration and senior officers to take decisive action and lead the inquiry from the front.
