Samsung Electronics has expanded its portable storage lineup with the launch of the T7 Resurrected Portable SSD, a refreshed version of its popular T7 series that combines high-speed performance with sustainable manufacturing. The new model offers the same blazing speeds as the previous generation but introduces a major shift in design — a body built entirely from 100% recycled aluminum.
Built With Sustainability in Focus
The T7 Resurrected marks Samsung’s first portable SSD manufactured using recycled aluminum sourced from Galaxy smartphone production scrap, verified by TÜV Rheinland. The natural aluminum finish eliminates the need for chemical coloring, reducing environmental impact and streamlining the production process. Its packaging also aligns with Samsung’s eco-friendly goals, made from 100% recycled paper and ASA-certified soy ink.
These sustainability-driven innovations helped the device earn the 2026 CES Innovation Award in the Sustainability & Energy category.
High-Speed Performance for Content Creators
Despite the new eco-conscious build, performance remains unchanged from the original T7. The SSD delivers:
- Up to 1,050 MB/s sequential read speeds
- Up to 1,000 MB/s sequential write speeds
- USB 3.2 Gen 2 support
This makes it ideal for creators working with heavy media files, especially 4K video capture and editing.
Secure, Durable and Highly Portable
Roughly the size of a credit card and weighing just 72 grams, the T7 Resurrected is built for creators on the move. Key features include:
- AES 256-bit hardware encryption
- Drop resistance up to two meters
- Compatibility across Windows, macOS, Android, smartphones, tablets, laptops and gaming consoles
Storage Options & Price
The T7 Resurrected comes in 1TB, 2TB and 4TB capacities and will be available globally from November 30, 2025.
| Capacity | MSRP |
|---|---|
| 1TB | $119.99 |
| 2TB | $205.99 |

With its mix of performance, durability and sustainability, Samsung is positioning the T7 Resurrected as a top choice for value-driven content creators and frequent travelers seeking responsible tech without sacrificing speed.
