Thailand’s National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) has chosen Elastic Security as its primary cybersecurity platform, marking a key step in the country’s declaration of 2025 as the “Year of Cybersecurity.” The collaboration includes technology deployment across government agencies and large-scale training for public sector cyber teams.
NCSA Partnership and Strategic Goals
Initially, NCSA will deploy Elastic Security within its own operations before expanding the platform to other government agencies over the next year. The partnership focuses on national cyber defence and resilience, protecting citizens, organisations, and the Thai economy from evolving threats.
Air Vice Marshal Amorn Chomchey, Secretary-General of NCSA, said:
“Elastic’s capabilities in search and AI are critical for strengthening our cybersecurity posture and helping agencies innovate while managing risks.”
The agency is increasing its focus on threat detection, incident response, and critical information infrastructure protection, while aiming to develop the skills of cybersecurity professionals across the public sector.
Elastic Security Platform Deployment
Elastic Security provides visibility across networks, endpoints, and cloud systems, supporting Security Operations Centre analysts in detection, investigation, and response. NCSA will use it for security information and event management (SIEM), collecting and analysing security logs across government systems.
The platform will also be rolled out to other state entities, including ministries under Thailand’s Critical Information Infrastructure Group.
Elastic leverages search technology and AI to power its security solutions, enabling rapid detection and mitigation of threats.
Training and Workforce Development
A key focus of the collaboration is skills development. Over 1,000 government cybersecurity practitioners have received advanced training using Elastic tools during NCSA’s annual security programme in Bangkok.
The hands-on Advanced Security Analytics workshop included representatives from the Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Finance, and other critical infrastructure organisations. Participants practiced threat detection, incident investigation, and AI-driven security analytics using real-world style data.
Ravi Rajendran, Elastic’s Area VP for ASEAN, stated:
“Public sector organisations face rising threats and a shortage of skilled cybersecurity professionals. Elastic Security, combined with threat intelligence and AI capabilities, acts as a force multiplier for government security teams in Thailand.”
Cyber Exercises and Future Plans
NCSA is also preparing a major cyber range exercise, simulating cyberattacks on government systems to test incident response processes and inter-agency collaboration. Elastic will support the exercise with its architects and security specialists.
With this partnership, NCSA aims to strengthen Thailand’s cybersecurity resilience throughout 2025, combining technology rollout, workforce development, and live cyber exercises. Elastic Security is already used by thousands of organisations worldwide, including more than half of Fortune 500 companies.
